Netflix has entered into a rivalry with YouTube by greenlighting projects that feature some of the Alphabet-owned hub’s biggest stars. According to a Wall Street analyst, the follow-up to that strategy should involve a take on YouTube’s hottest format.

TikTok is becoming a go-to news source for many Gen Z users, and the platform is aiming to grow that role with a strategic hire. A new LA-based “Creator Manager” position will support news broadcasters on the app. While the listing describes a typical creator management role, it hints that the focus will be on TikTok’s news community. That push makes sense: a 2023 report found that 20% of 18-to-24-year-olds use TikTok for news—and that number is rising as more creators cover current events and politics.

Create-it Studios — a unique creative hub launched through a partnership between Walmart and Full Sail University — recently opened to serve the Middle Tennessee community and beyond. The studio features six rooms for music production, video filming, podcast recording, and live events, serving as both a professional resource and cultural hub.

“My passion has always been to help creative dreamers turn their ideas into reality,” said founder John Phelps, who also founded Full Sail University. “With Create-it Studios, we're building a space where creators can find inspiration and professional tools to bring their visions to life.”
